Rob Hood is a Christchurch based artist working in a range of mediums including photography, installation and video. Hood’s work carries a post-apocalyptic tone, embracing a diverse array of subject matter. He embraces oddities, his worlds meeting their end at the hands of the paranormal, or stock markets. Hood is interested in the dynamic structures of capitalism, creating dystopias imbued with a sense of hope and optimism, and utopias teetering on the very edge of collapse.
